I mean that's hard to do. If anybody can find a statistically worse player using PER on basketball reference with a comparable number of games, let's see him. I think the person who played the most games and did not play in an NBA/ABA All-Star game is Sam Perkins (1286 games). Centers seem to hang on longer than shorter players, and Kevin Willis immediately came to mind when I read your post. He did, however, play in the 1992 All-Star game. For an example of a center holding on for a while, Danny Schayes played in 1138 career games, averaging 7.7 pts and 5.0 reb per game.
Centers will probably dominate this list, maybe we should put together a worst by position lineup. Danny Schayes btw posted a relatively respectable (for a big stiff), though still mediocre PER of 13.4 for over 1000 games, I think that qualifies him as "serviceable veteran backup" rather than "plain awful" as Kandi Man is.
...I'm sure no one can beat that. Rasho N. is about the worst I can find and he looks like a HOF player compared to the Kandi Man. I think the real question here is this - has there ever been an NBA player with a widespread nickname who was as bad a him?

All these guys fit the 300 games, 50 starts criteria (unsure about Lostocuff and Lloyd since data doesn't exist, but it appears they played substantial (starters) minutes in a few seasons.) Word...Kevin Willis got an NBA contract at the age of 44. There is no way you can suck for that long and still be in the league.

We were focusing on PER, which sucks out intangibles like hustle, basketball IQ, desire to win, how much I like the guy, how many of the guy's jerseys I own, etc. For example, Battier's PER was 10.7 last year, but most of us would agree his contributions are way above that. Same for Chucky Brown.
