Fox: Coaches Will Work with Yao this Summer & Yao's Availability

Now this could be a good thing.

You send the Rocket's best big man coach(es) to China to work with Ming and the national team. We benefit because effectively, Ming has a much longer pre-season. Granted, he won't be playing with Rockets players, but he can be learning our system and how to communicate with our coach(es).

The Chinese National team benefits from having NBA coaches at their disposal. They've said it themselves, the NBA is the world's best. Hell, they can run some bread and butter plays straight our of our playbook.

Everyone wins. Talk about synergies.

 

This exchange program (shall we just called that) is what Rockets and CBA call about the win-win situation. I'd like to see that Rockets send coaches/players to China in July to work with the Chinese NT and Yao Ming. The Chinese NT is scheduled to come to the US in August in preparation for the World Championship. Rockets can extend the invitation for them to come to Houston to play. After the World Championship, the Chinese NT can come to Houston again or Rockets can go to China again before the start of the Asian Games.
