No joke, my house was hit by lightning 4 days ago, and it blew out several things, including my modem (sp?) and my whatchamacallit card in my computer, and I have been cut off from the BBS and all the news at the worst possible time. As such, I appeal to you, my fellow Clutch BBSers, to please give me an accurate run-down of what I've missed...I have quickly read a lot of threads, but without context I have no sense of what happened when, and how it developed...While I understand that Ming looks like a sure thing at 1, when did that solidify, what is the word from the Cat/Franchise camp re: their objections, what are the rumours about the no. 15 pick, etc...

Please, guys, help me out..I'm just happy that I got everything fixed in time for the draft itself, but I desperately need to catch up...

As far as Francis, it seems like he has toned down his objections. Clutch reported that CD took Francis into his office a few days ago and showed Francis some footage of Yao Ming, and Francis reportedly left very impressed. As far as Cuttino and the rest of the team, latest info it seems they are pro-ming! Sorry bout ur house dude.

I got into a shouting match with CrissyKidd in the Hangout that developed into a full scale clique pick-your-side battle, and Clutch got so furious with the childishness of it all but couldn't ban two cliques representing 100,000 posts in sum, that he decided to close down the Hangout Forum.

    sigh

and we lost our smilie faces

    :(

Really? That is very reassuring.. but I must have missed Clutch's post of this info. Was this reported on the bbs or in one of the news stories on the main page?

Also it looks like Jeff has out distanced HeyP to 10000 posts. (insert big laughing smily face here)
