Just gave myself a little giggle..

How would you like to have been Shawn Bradley this past month?
99% of articles about Yao Ming have also mentioned Bradley,
as in 'Ming may not be *great*, but at least he's no Shawn Bradley"
heheh the poor guy probably has the self-esteem of
stink on a skunk right about now.. LOL but I suspect being a
millionaire several times over probably soothes him a bit, so we
shouldn't cry for him too hard..

Also, just occured to me - a lot of people wrinkle their noses at
the fact that Ming will have to miss the summer league games
and such.. so my question is: what is a better summer regimen:
playing against no-chance scrubs and rookies in meaningless
'review' games, or playing in international tournaments where
they games not only mean something, they mean a whole heck
of a lot to all the people playing in them? IMO, I think it is just
fine if Ming has to miss the Rocky Mountain Review to play in
legit international tournaments.. anyone have any views on this?

One last thing: Amare of Nachbar? your pick, both are available,
clock's ticking, what do you do?

The real problems with him not playing for us this summer are two:

    1. Not being able to work with him on a daily basis
    2. Not having him work in the Rocket "system" of O and D or is that "isO" and "no-D."

Shawn Bradely will get to play against Yao Ming at the World Championship game at Indiana as both Germany and China are drawn in the same pool. I am sure Bradely would like to prove something against Yao, but he will just get destroyed by Yao, further dinting his self-esteem.

Amare of Nachbar? I doubt both will be available at 15th, its going to be one or the other, or neither. But if the Rockets gets to choose, I'll probably take Nachbar, as the PF position is already loaded, and Nachbar is probably more ready to have an impact. I'll take Amare over Nachbar only if Rockets can trade a player or two who plays at the PF position for a decent SF player.

Well, he was named in the German team along with Nowitzki for this year's World Championship Tournament... so I guess he is German ;)

Yes, Bradley is German. I forget the details, but I believe his father was stationed in Germany. Bradley was either born in Germany or, more likely, his mother was German (if Germany is like France in their citizenship rules). He wanted to compete internationally but would never make the US team, so he claimed his German citizenship so that he could play for them.
