i was talkin to someone on another rockets board about Doc's cryptic message. he said Doc has a very cryptic sense of humor and that in the past Doc has said that we would trade Cat and Mooch for AI and Mutombo and in last years draft we were gonna trade for Griff and Joe Smith. the guy said he's a sports editor at 610. is any of this tru about Doc's predictions?

But you gotta think to yourself first, is any of that guy saying hes a sports editor for 610 true? And on the Doc subject, Doc's been good to us. He gives us what he gets and codes it so that he doesnt totally give it away (though that would be easier). Some people might misinterpret it and post it other places, which results in what I like to call "rumors". Yep. Now, as far as I know, Doc hasn't said that Cat and Mooch would be traded for AI and Mutombo. That might've been what someone interpreted, but who could be as dumb as to think that we would trade a back-up PG and second rate SG for a All-Star C and SG?? And why would we trade an up and coming superstar for a washed up player who never achieved his full potential? Sometimes, you just gotta take your clues, and figure them out yourself. Doc just provides us with the clues. Some deals break, some deals go through. That's just how life is.

There is no such thing as a sports editor for radio. Editors work for newspapers.
