That could mean several things but a comparison to the Rafer - Lowry move is Scola for someone slightly younger. For example, Ryan Gomes or Boris Diaw. However, I'm not sure if you would categorize this as a minor move.

Another example would be Chuck Hayes and Brian Cook for Udonis Haslem (just an example not a prediciton).

I would keep an eye on Mbah a Moute, he seems like a player Morey would LOVE.

Only all-stars I see on the block are Boozer, Kevin Martin and Amare (probably who he's referring to) unless he means perennial all-stars like Richard Hamilton.

There aren't many that are available...does he mean projects like Tyrus Thomas, Yi Jianlian or Thaddeus Young?

Spencer Hawes and Jason Thompson are interesting but very unlikely.

...or a fading one that we think has more tread on the tires than others think, got to be opportunistic, can't force it."[/QUOTE]

Ray Allen? Michael Redd? Steve Nash?

No predictions just picking at the quote.

He also is a player that the Bucks already do love. Don't think they are gonna just give away the Afircan Prince without a good loot in return.

Mbah a Mute is playing the 4 position on my "All Battier Team."

One way or another, we do need to upgrade our passing.

Lowry may or may not be a good starting point guard. Not much of a shooter, but has other qualities; still, don't we need a REAL pg?

I remember how Rondo was on the block earlier this summer and how Ainge badmouthed him on ESPN but maybe that was posturing to crap on him and get him to toe the line. I can't imagine being so lucky as to acquire a PG of his caliber.

Our most dire need is probably shooting guard (as far as, players we lack). Obviously we want to get younger and upgrade at the same time, so that might even mean Scola is out of here, even if I hate to see him go.

The minor trade would probably involve trading Landry. The major would be a trade of Shane and fillers for an All-Star or signing Iverson for a year.

Maybe Dikembe is becoming a assistant coach if Turner leaves

Not a bad idea. He can help Dorsey and Andersen improve on their defense.

Shane Battier for Rudy Fernandez and Travis Outlaw...

It has been beaten to death, but this trade helps both teams.

how about a major trade... landry, battier, lowry, and rights to jermaine taylor to the warriors for stephen jackson and brandan wright.... we get a sg/sf in captain jack who can play defense and flat out score and wright is 6'9 athletic and can bring energy off the bench the way landry did... since wafer most likely wont come back to the rockets sign rashad mccants for cheap to replace him... then sign carlos arroyo for the vets minimum to back-up brooks... i'd hate to see landry and battier go but we'd get instant offense and leadership from jackson and wright has a lot of potential... line-up

    brooks/arroyo
    jackson/mccants/t-mac rehabbing
    ariza/budinger/white
    scola/wright/hayes
    andersen/dorsey/yao out for season

whats your thoughts on this trade clutchfans??

If trading away a starter (Rafer) is a minor move, its kinda exciting to imagine what a medium move might be. I am excited about this.

Locking ourselves into a bad contract for a player who will be earning 10 million dollars when he is 35 in 2012 is not a good move.

I could understand picking up Jackson if a core of Yao/Mac/Artest was on the verge of breaking into the finals, but that team laid out doesnt make us any better and hurts our cap flexibility signifigantly.

Some folks need to ditch their obsession with Stephen Jackson. Seriously.

Ron was trapped into Houston through a "minor move", as presumed by Morey before he got this deal done.

"medium" annoucement through Twitter will not be a trade... A signing of the rookies or a coaching staff shift to replace a parting coach, maybe.

So you are saying that it is likely that the "medium" announcement is either Budinger is signed or Turner is the coach of the Timberwolves. Those make sense.
