Could it mean all our worst fears have come true and TroyBaros was right...

Seriously, Why are the Rockets are scrambling like madmen to get all of these workouts in. It seems like if this was just a contingency plan than they would have implemented it earlier. It seems more like they are starting to have doubts about the Ming deal happening.

Old Man Rock, I have been thinking the exact same thing, why would they wait until the last minute to work all of these guys out if something wasn't going wrong? Man I hope I am wrong!

Well, as mentioned in another thread, maybe the Rockets are trying to move up from #15. Cleveland's evidently a possibility. If the Rockets have a chance at the #6, it makes sense why they'd be looking at guys like Nene and Wilcox and even Nachbar could go top 10 maybe, although I think there's a good chance he'll still be there at 15.

I don't know about you, but the thought of a Yao Ming/Nene Hilario center tandem (however remote) has me drooling...

It could be that, or it could be the fact that the Rockets don't know WHO will be available for the 15th pick. It seems like the same players projected to go 15 or 20, are also looked at by teams with the 8th, and 9th, and 10th picks.

Maybe they have found a trade that gets them another lottery pick, thats the only other logical scenario that I can think of.

Or could it just be that between figuring out what they need to know and/or negotiate before deciding on Yao, planning a trip to China, making a trip to China, and recovering from the trip to China, they're just now able to get some more of these guys in here? Especially since they have to coordinate with these guys flying all over the country to work out with 6-8 other teams?

    Yeah that makes sense Gocart...

I guess I am just a little anxious I wish they would just get this deal done.
