One day last week, when Rockets delegation was in Shanghai, they got a call at 3:00 am (when they were asleep). The doctor of Rockets told them that he found a big medical problem of Ming. It was too serious to let Ming play at NBA.

At Chicago, Ming accepted an extensive medical examination, including X-rays, CTs. Then NBA handed his physical report to 29 NBA teams. From that report, Ming was very healthy. He didn't have any problem.

But when the doctor of Rockets reviewed those reports and photos very carefully, he found that Ming might have bone spurs on his feet with rheumatic indlammation. If it is true, no team will dare to choose Ming.

When the delegation got that call, they were flurried very much. They held a meeting immediately......

We all knew what happened from then. The doctor flied to Beijing and did a very complete and careful medical exam to Ming. As he said :"we found somthing on paper (when I was at America). When we examed Ming himself, we found that he is healthy."

The smiles occured on the face of Rockets staff again. Now NBA has sent out the invitation to CBA officials and invited them to attend the draft conference at June 26th.

This article likes a mystery novel. It is written by a Chinese reporter. It is longer than what I have translated.

    Please check it.

Heh, almost sounds like a ploy so the Rockets could make sure they'd get a thorough, up-close-and-personal examination of Ming before drafting him. But who knows, maybe their was something "on paper" they found.

    1000th post! :D

hmm, I don't want to think this:

Chicago sent a "wrong" x ray photo to Rockets by mistake or whatever.

The Cavs are in on it, too. They slipped a couple of x-rays from Ilgauskas and Diop to the Bulls.

Actually, I'd go with a pure Houston Rockets conspiracy here. We want to look at your player. You're being lackadaisical about it. Finally, we decide to tell you that our doctored called in the middle of the night to say he found something horrible in your player's records and we can't draft him unless you have evidence to the contrary. You have the evidence: the player. You invite our doctor to fly over and have a look. Exam completed. End of story.
