I know.... it's just so frustrating seeing a great PERSON go through this. If anybody deserve being able to play it's Yao
man this sucks, so i guess this year is pointless! Yao please come back healthy for the 2011 season with Chris bosh??
Not to be insensitive, but Alexander has got to be dissapointed With the return he is getting for the money he's got invested in McGrady/Yao this season. Do you think if the contracts weren't guaranteed that the Rockets would have already parted ways with these two?
so with Yao and possibly Tracy being on inactive list before the season starts... doesn't this guarantee both Budinger and Taylor to make the opening night roster? (unless there are trades)
If this is happening... Rockets should consider this trade: McGrady + Cook → Stackhouse + Dampier + George. Rockets cut $5M from team salary which would allow them to use a disabled player exception. They are over LT and won't use it if the're not competing this year. This is about stockpiling talent for next season. Stackouse is only partially guaranteed if he's waived. That creates a further $5.25M of salary space. Otherwise he'd make greater trade asset at the trade deadline. Dampier fills a need for a year and is an expiring contract (the 2nd year is fully non-guaranteed) All up, this deal has the potential to shed $10.25M from the Rockets salary books. I'd keep Scola, Battier, and Barry. You don't want a squad to be too young especially in a losing environment. That could poison the lockerroom for the future. Keep the vet leaders.
Have faith. Making the playoffs is the target and obtaining it is still very possible without Yao. Lets hope He recovers fully and who knows a chance to play in April. Anything is still possible.
Where has Clutch been? He never updated the front page after Artest left and Ariza joined the Rox. Just curious his take on the Rocket's plans on the upcoming season.
Goodness...I go to sleep hearing this official bad news...I'm just so curious about what next years slogan will be...lol
