Thank you for collecting my posts. I kept saying and I believed that coach RA is a great coach, one of the best sort of things. I never hate coach RA. I just think coach JVG or even AJ are much better choice for this Rocket team because it's the simple fact this Rocket team is built around Yao and owner Les always believed super star powers. My most favorable players in the Rockets are Battier/scola/hayes/Rafer because they are real professional, high BBIQ, hard worker and proved winners and never give in and nice person. Yao, Ron and landry are in second tier of my favorate players because their BBIQ not too high and not proved winners. I love this Rocket team. It's only about 2 year left for this rockets. The window is closing. Don't waste it.
Sorry for double posting, but I have to rag on the OP a bit. 1. Adelman got us to the Playoffs 2. Adelman got us out of the first round 3. Adelman coached against the best coach in NBA history, and took it to 7. 4. Adelman took the Lakers to 7 without the three best players (Yes, I do think Dike is our third best player) on our team. You REALLY want to fire Adelman based on the playoff run we had?
I'm giving this masterpiece 5 stars. It's just a fantastic read all the way through. According to this post: Adelman is one of the best in the business. Adelman deserves to be fired. Adelman did a bad job this season. Adelman did a better job last year even though they went further this year. The team had a better year last year than this year The team should win more than 70 games if everyone is healthy. The team should win more than 60 games if Mac or Artest is injured. Yao Ming lost confidence in the team during the season. Management gave up on the team by trading Rafer. JVG believes in these players. JVG is an overachiever. Adelman is an underachiever. If Adelman wasn't so incompetent, the rockets wouldn't have had the 5th seed and would have avoided those Blazers. Somehow Yao would not have gotten injured if they avoided the blazers and the rockets would have advanced past the 2nd round. Ron Artest is an idiot. The OP likes Ron Artest. Half a Tmac will help the Rockets win the championship because a "shrunken" Kobe won it all this year....
Well that's the issue. How the team fared and what they accomplished is irrelavant to him. His opinion is based hatred towards Rick. That and according to him Adelman didn't use Yao properly.
LOL close to 70 wins in the WEST? we're not the Jordan's-Bulls here. Adelman was 2nd in Coach Of the Year and you want to fire him? He ended a 12 year drought as well if you have forgotten.

I just found so much hatred in this board. I only expressed an opinion that coach RA underachieved this season and his system didn't fit this Rockets best so that he should go. A 2nd round exit can't change the fact the Rocket lost about 14 games to the bottom teams. Many fans here cursed coach RA when Rockets had those loss. Now they cursed me. Please enjoy Jumping on and off bandwagan.
Anyone would be utterly stupid to think that RA did a bad job this yeat. No other coach could handle such an injury riddled team the way RA did and still challenge the Lakers the way the Rox did. However, I DO believe that RA is not the best style of coach for the current squad, and he never will be as long as Yao is on this team. Should he be fired? No, because he's proven he can do much better for this team t han coaches past. Should he be fired in the near future? If he can't address Yao's issues, and no results are yielded over the next 2 seasons, then i suppose so.
All good teams lose to lesser teams because theyre playing down to their competition or not on their game on a given night for whatever reason. You have to look at the season as a whole and say this has been the best season in 10 years given the circumstances.
