I'm assuming they'll also be including their pick. If they do, then maybe you consider it.

8th pick in this draft - or bust.

I think we will only trade mcgrady to the knicks if the player knicks want at number 8 stephen curry is snagged up by a team drafting higher and then knicks will be pretty much defenseless with no other PG they love.

we will take brandon jennings with the 8th pick.

but I highly doubt we want anyone on the knicks roster...

He's a great player, no doubt about it. But the thing is, we don't need him. We have Scola, Landry and hopefully Dorsey.

We would need a good SG in exchange if we traded Tracy.

it didn't say on there that they would but I if they did offer us the 8th pick and Larry Hughes, Mobley, or possibly even some other player/players on their roster than that's a hard deal to pass up cause Tmac is nothing but a distraction & expiring contract to the team now.

unless there's another team involved, there's nothing on the knicks roster thats even worth taking a look at. amazing that they had 95mil tied up in trash this past year.

I could see that happening but I would want Larry Hughes with the 8th pick too if we were to chose Brandon Jennings with the pick. But really, if it was my choice I would take DeMar (assuming Hardens & Rubio are there) with that pick cause we will need another scorer at the SG spot when McGrady is gone.

i was hoping for that to give the article a LITTLE credibility. But at the bottom of it, they're talking about having their pick to use. Fairly sure they think that Houston wants to make a deal to save $7.5 million in real dollars (i.e. getting it from the insurance company on Cat's contract). stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid

On the other hand, I would rather see if we can deal with the Suns first and try to get Amare off their hands for McGrady if that were possibly. If not then maybe we should consider.

most may not agree with me on this, but i personally dont want amare either. he has been injured a lot lately. Also, for someone who depends so much on athleticism to have microfracture surgery, sort of scares me away. with all the injuries we have had, lets try to go after someone who can stay healthy. i say we start with resigning artest!

I'd take Amare for Tracy anyday. But I do agree, getting someone healthy would be better in the long run. Also, I think we are pretty stacked at the PF position. We need a 2/3 player (like tracy) and a backup center.

Ya'll and many others here will be the same people that will be kissing Morey's ass if he were to get Amare here in the toyota center when he drops 30 on the other team's PFs.

What happens when the other team's PFs drops 40 on him? Amare's making the max. You don't pay the max for one dimensional players, especially those who can't play with a low post player like Shaq.

If Okafor and Wallace really are available and could be had for TMac, I would do that in a second. Both of them work hard and could provide the athleticism that this team needs. Okafor could have matched up well against Gasol or Bynum in my opinion.

dude wft do you smoke when you get on CF? Please name a PF right now that would get 40 points on our defense other than Amare? And how is Amare one dimensional? He can rebound, block shots, and he can score like few big men in today's game. How the hell is that one dimensional? And you said he can't play with Shaq. Amare had an off year and still managed to make the All-Star team while putting up 21pts & 8rebs per game. Get your facts straight before you yap off.

How about a three-way trade with Detriot.

NY send Mobley (9.5m) and sign and trade Lee and 8th pick

Houston send Tmac and trade Mobley's part guarantee contract to Detroit for Rip to help them reduce salary (there is rumor Detroit want more cap room to sign Gordon).

This will make sense for all three teams.
