http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x10ted_nba-the-dream-hakeem-olajuwon_sport Another good video of The Dream
I take issue with the article saying that Ewing is revered more than Hakeem Yes of course Pat was a star in probably the NBA's most fancy city but world over I think Dream was known to be superior. I watch old Ewing games now and remember how painful he was to watch....
I've never heard anyone mention Malone, barkley, or Ewing before the dream... It's nice to give the man his props but the author greatly exagerrates the lack of respect dream gets. I've rarely if ever heard anyone consider him behind anyone but Jordan for his error. The only time he gets slapped in the face is when people bring up jordan's retirement but hakeem is largely respected just not typically celebrated.
he's a better player than the 3 you've listed, but he's not celebrated with the likes of jordan, magic, bird when in fact hakeem's game was just as good as theirs.
Greatest Man to ever wear a Rockets Uniform. Gosh I miss him. In my opinion he is and always will be the face of the Houston Rockets and Houston Basketball.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=granderson/090601 By LZ Granderson clueless, but i suppose that's to be expected.
The REAL REASON this site was created and why alot of us still come here after 12 years. I miss Dream. I miss those days.
the orig article put a tear in my eyes. i often think about how lucky i am to have watched hakeem in my lifetime. there will NEVER be another like him and he is so special to the rockets and to houston. thank you hakeem for making me believe!!
