Now, this guy is a Mavericks scout. What incentive would he have to talk up Ming unless it was for real. He even says flat out: I tend to agree with this guy, right down to the part where he says it's stereotypes that are causing all the questions. What can people be thinking when they want to trade this pick for Lamar Odom or some other underachiever? If the Rockets can get it straight with these bonehead Shanghai Shark owners, hopefully we are home free and can draft the guy. I think he's going to surprise a lot of people with what he can do. What did that same Mavericks scouts say about Wang, and look at how good he's been. And Ming did say Zhi Zhi was a better defender..... And that is the reason he's weak. He's only guarded good players when he plays against the U. S. or some European countries, and he almost always fouls out in the contest. how many players in the U.S. couldn't go to China and dominate like that. The athletic and talent comparisons of the two are not even comparable. Atleast the college players have played in a solid level of American basketball. He's way to weak, so what if he can hit the jump shot.
When did Yao say that? He was an inferior player to Wang when he first started playing in the pro league, until he became the best.
Smoothie: How 'bout Yao "The Real Thing" Ming? Does that sound better? I bet if he plays well in the NBA some lyrical puglist will say that... P1ST,S2nd
