    They opened up a store on Post Oak, but I imagine the warehouse on I-45 was still where they kept everything.

    The Post Oak one is entirely different. Nothing but $5,000 dining rooms and $3,000 coffee tables. Nice stuff, indeed, but name brand over discount.

    a lot of small furinture stores (landmark next to gallery furnitures) have been going out of business. the only big one right now that is gone is fingers. nobody's buying furniture right now. even the employees at some places have told me business is way down...i just bought a bedroom set from rooms to go. id been shoppin around for a while, and a lot of places have been dead even on weekends. im not sure about gallery furniture. i went there on a weekday.....but Star, Rooms to Go, Roomstore, among other smaller places were completely dead on the weekend.

    Mac will probably be all right eventually with insurance, but there are a lot of people who are now out of work.
