If Baron plays up to his potential, Kaman can put together a couple of injury free solid years, Thorton and Gordon continue to improve, Randolph or Camby is traded, and Griffin is selected and turns out to be worth of the #1 pick (even if not a future hall of famer), then the Clippers could actually have a decent starting lineup. Yeah, UConn is to shotblocking as D'Antoni is to offensive stats. Armstrong, Voskuhl, Villanueva, Okafor, Boone, and Gay have all seen thir bpg numbers cut in half or more in the NBA. Okafor is the best and even he is not really elite in the category. He went from about 4.5 bpg at UConn to only one season over 2 bpg in the NBA.
As anachronistic as big centers are in the perimeter era- Thabeet runs the floor pretty well for a man his size.
