Assume for a second we keep Ron, can ron, battier, and tracy ALL start with tracy at PG? we all know he is a great passer but he would be giving up speed to alot of other PGs. this is a serious question, maybe it is dumb, but just wondering what you guys think

I brought this up like 3 years ago....lol.......I would settle for either trading him or him getting healthy or both.

i dont think tmac is selfish, i think alot of his ball dominance was the fact that he HAD to be that guy. if his role was to be the point guard (he would be a scoring PG of course) I think e would look to pass to yao first.

he can't guard other Pg's...it wouldnt' be utilizing him properly. he could be our primary playmaker though. he usually was. and he was damn good at it before his injury.

    pg-brooks
    sg-Mcgrady
    sf-battier
    Pf-scola
    C-Ming

    pg-Lowry
    sg-Wafer/barry
    sf-artest
    pf-Landry
    C-Hayes(haha)

A lot of good players will not be getting PT next year (wafer, hayes and Barry come to mind)....

i think ron could guard the other teams PG.

imagine if you were andre miller and ron artest was gaurding you. that would suck!

You know who else could play PG for this team?

A PG that we trade McGrady for.

Tmac is not an effective player as a pg for an entire game. At spurts he will be fine but for a season would be a disaster.

For certain instances during games, sure. But he is not fast, his handles have gotten worse, and will expend too much energy bringing the ball up the court if pressured. Defense would also be another big issue,

If we can resign artest and tmac REALLY can come back.
If adelman want to put tmac, ron, battier at the same time,
    they will be at position 2, 3, 4 rather position 1, 2, 3...

I think tmac is best suited in the point-forward role. Hang on, is he even a point-forward...?
