So "the truth" is that Kobe committed a flagrant 1 and for that Artest ends up getting tossed from the middle of the fourth quarter. I've got an idea! To make up for it, give Artest a flagrant 1 in the next game and toss Kobe in the middle of the fourth quarter.

is Artest even in the discussion?

would he be suspended for what? the gesture to the neck?

I don't like the idea of Shannon Brown as the PG

That picture is awesome. Clearly shows the elbow above the shoulders.

First frame Artest is also shoving his elbow into Kobe's head, and like I've been saying all along, they're wrestling for position Kobe his shifting his entire body to the right along with the elbow.

It's not a blatant elbow... but an elbow none the less.

I'm just looking at it at both sides. Knowing and watching the NBA if there is a brawl and whoever leaves the bench and steps on the court gets suspended even if they don't do anything and return real quick.

Ron on the other hand wasn't wrong for holding his ground because what Kobe did was dirty but he did approach Kobe and got in his face to start bigger things. Just because Ron Artest is Ron Artest and the history that he has had he is going to probably be in the discussion just because of his name.

Frankly, the right thing to the league to do is suspend Rafer, Fisher and Kobe to send a message that even though its physical, this is not the WWF or the NFL.

If it does not happen, NBA players are going to take advantage of it and start elbowing guys when jostling for position in games, blitzing players and calling it fighting through screens, and slapping people across the head when bumped after hitting a shot in your grill.

KOBE cannot get preferencial treatment, by the rules he warrants more of the suspension than even fisher cause,

    1. He initiated the rough play.
    2. He caught Artest in the throat, a really dangerous play and if artest was not strong could have really injured him
    3. Refs not only missed it, but called an offensive foul against Artest
    4. Crawford Tosses Artest and cost us the game after a bad call.

If nothing happens, this serious is going to get out of hand and some will get really hurt. I hope the NBA does the right thing to send a message.

LOL! :D Homeboy in that thread with the BLUE ARROWS conveniently "forgot" many frames.

    I slowed down the video:

FYI, the flash of the camera of the girl happens in frames 31 through 35, which is when elbow happens. :D

    Here is regular speed elbow:
spoiler so you don't get confused...

ProfJay: I don't understand it either - offensive foul called on Ron for what? If Ron was doing something foul-worthy - the refs were looking at him - would they not have seen Kobe's elbows? What/when/where did Ron do to get the whistle? Kobe's elbow first? then something by Ron?
Kobe should have gotten the whistle on the elbow before Ron did whatever he did, methinks? No wonder Ron was so mad. Non-call on elbow bad enough - no foul on Kobe - then foul on Ron. Sheesh.

Haha. So that guy's argument for Kobe is not even on the elbow that he tossed. The elbow came right after that, just in time for that to be cut off from his argument

i am sorry but before the elbow moved down to the chest..it was clearly mid throat!

it could have crushed his trachea for all we know.

why do good players do dirty things like this making it easy for us to hate them?

Just like they're so ready to eject ron based on his history, the league office should review all of those kobe elbows in the past. They were intentional in game one and in game 2.

That still is pretty conclusive. It did hit him in the neck. Lower neck sure, but still neck.

As for the argument that Ron was fouling Kobe, so? Nothing Artest was doing to Kobe was flagrant in any way. That's physical play. Watch every single time those two scrap. Its always like that with both players grabing, shoving, and what not. Ron didn't throw an elbow though.

By letter of the law, Kobe hit Ron above the shoulder. If not suspended it needs to be let known to Kobe that he can't go thrwoing elbows like that.
