As many collisions as he has had and as many times as he falls down a game, I don't get why he doesn't wear knee pads. Dream used to wear knee and elbow pads, and it worked for him.

I've wondered about this myself. It would be great if he did.

Someone e-mail Daryl Morey using the e-mail address he gave us several months ago to e-mail him suggestions from Rockets fans on how to improve the team. I think this is a good idea, and may help the Rockets by preventing Yao from getting future injuries again. Does anyone know the e-mail address that was originally posted here on Clutchfans several months ago?

Yes please someone get him some knee pads. My heart stopped when he got hurt. Even RA came out looking stressed out and worried. That is how important Yao is to the team!

Probably, he cannot adapt to play with pads on his knees, like he ever threw out his pad on his elbow during a game two seasons ago.

I think Yao can't move very well with knee pads, but I think he should consider wearing them. Deke wore them.. I think Yao should also.

Collins mention big men are more likely to get hit on the knees. Yao should go Olajuwon and wear the knee pads and elbow pads.

didn't they change the rules so you can't wear knee pads? I remember there was a big issue about protective stockings as well. I'm not sure but there must be a reason why nobody else wears it anymore in the NBA.

they didn't ban knee pads, but they didn't not want those metal protruding knee brace in the game.
