Anybody think Rondo will eat Rafer alive this series?

Personally I'm rooting for Orlando. C's are douchebags

With Dwight Howard in the middle, Rondo won't be eating anybody unless his jumper is working. The Bulls interior defense was non-existent because they have no legit C and their coach is clueless. While SVG isn't the best coach out there, the Celts will lose this series unless something fluky happens. No KG means no chance against the Magic.

Actually, I think this matchup is better than bulls vs magic. I don't think the bulls would have a chance to beat the magic if they passed the 1st round.

This series will go to 6 or 7 games.

If KG doesnt play, I think it goes 6 in the Magics favor. With KG I think we have a Celts Rox finals. As it is, probably the Magic take this one. Hell, the Bulls couldve taken the last one.

Rafer is playing quite well, he's not having those 2/9, 3/12 nights in the playoffs, I'm impressed by skip shooting 44% from the Field.

    Keys for Magic

Hedo Turkoglu needs to shoot better (36% in playoffs) is horrible

Rashard Lewis must continue to play well and so must Alston (no **** shooting nights)

They're going to miss Courtney lee for the first two games, Overall if Orlando can win go to ORL with a 1-1 split, they'll be in a good spot, I want Boston to be eliminated.

Obvious: Howard is going to be 20/14/3

I'm surprised so many are counting the defending champs out in this one..

Boston wins this one in 6. Hedo will be the MVP for Boston. Orlando will put the ball in his hands during crunch time and it'll kill them.. he's absolute garbage in the playoffs.

The Celts are gassed. Expect the series to go 6 games, with ORL winning it.

Also, Orlando is gonna take game 1 in Boston.

Lmao, hope not, Turkey is not playing horrible.

I see Howard getting Perkins in foul trouble, then the Celtics are in trouble, who are they going to use? Mikki moore?

Yes we've heard that story before too.. The Celtics were supposed to be gassed last season prior to playing the Cavs and the Lakers.

I'd take Rondo/Pierce and Ray Allen over Howard/Lewis/Hedo especially in big games where the pressure is on.

I'd give Orlando a chance with a healthy Nelson, but I'm not sold on them at all.. This looks to be a matchup of true championship pedigree players vs very good regular season players/playoff chokers Hedo/Lewis/Rafer are not guys who can handle true playoff pressure while Boston thrives on it.

i think orlando SHOULD win this. outside of perkins the celtic bigs are small and not good players. dwight will probably get perk in foul trouble most games, then he'll be able to feast on boston frontline. plus hedo or rashard should have a big mismatch advantage over big baby on offense. he can't guard them out on the perimeter.

i think ray allen will light them up though. this should be a fun series

Orlando (as usual) will live and die by the 3 ball.

The Celts lack of frontcourt depth could kill them...

KG is not going to play. He wanted to get the surgery, indicating that he doesn't feel close to healthy, the only reason he couldn't was because the organization told him to wait it out.

A lot of people are saying that the celtics-bulls series was not great because both teams executed down the stretch, but because they would in fact fail to execute repeatedly giving the other team a chance. I buy that. The Magic aren't going to blow defensive assignments, and the Celtics won't be able to take advantage of their youth.

I am not trying to say that the celts-bulls series wasn't exciting. Because it was amazing.

Celtics in 6. Magic have by far the weakest backcourt for a playoff team. Courtney Lee is expected to miss many games, probably the whole series.

Again, NOBODY I repeat NOBODY on the Magic can stop Ray Allen, Paul Pierce or Rondo a.k.a the Celtics 3 best players right now.

Celtics can stop Dwight Howard with Perkins and Big Baby and we know how easy it is to stop their 3 point shooting.

    Celtics in 6.

    Orlando in 6.

    Couple of things:

    - Boston's fatigue will come into play sometime during this series

    - They really cannot handle Dwight, they'd have to Double, that will hurt them right there with Orlando's 3 point shooting.

For those two reasons, I'm picking Orlando in 6.

Orlando in 6 or even 5. Celtics are way too worn out from their previous series with the Bulls. Dwight Howard will dominate the Celtics, offensively and defensively. Rondo cannot drive into the paint at will anymore which will inhibit the Celtics offense drastically.

If Orlando bench players like JJ Redick and Gortat step up and play extremely well, Orlando in 5

    If not, Orlando in 6

I think people should give the reward to Rafer that he deserved to.

People always keep saying how chucked he was when he was a Rox player, but dont forget he lead the Rox won ten games in a row after Yao was out of the season last year.
If we had no Rafer last year's playoffs, we could have been swept by the j*zz.

Rafer was the toughest player who the Rox have got for many years, at least he was mentally tough. He did always show his desire to win the games, maybe sometimes he drove himself like crazy on his enthusiasm for winnings, that's why he came into conflict with one of the top five players in this whole NBA league. Unfortunately LES loved the other one much more than him, so he was sent to the Magic. However, he just proved himself perfectly there by bringing the Magic into the second round playoff without the best big man of the whole NBA in Game 6. He was the MVP of the Olando Magic.

I'm glad that he and the current Rox have both passed the first round playoff.
Wish u best luck, Rafer. Keep going, and beat the Boston.
