matt:rockets gotta get back in the game with their defense bill: yeah thats their identity clyde: yeah thats who they are hahaha!!
Don't know if this has been posted; Last night he and Bull were talking about making plays down the stretch to win games Clyde says: "If you don't make plays you don't win games" WHA? DUH CLYDE!!!
Clyde probably meant that you have to have set plays, not just random ball movement hoping to get something out of the broken play.
"the rockets need stops bill and it all starts with their defense" "the great wall" "let me give a shout out to les" "in the playoffs it all comes down to who will make plays" i cant stop laughing AT him
when bill said nate mcmillan complained about the calls...clyde...."So what you are saying is that the squeky wheel gets the grease."
[on luis scola's block] Bull: Wow, Luis got really up on that block!! Clyde: You sound like you seem surprised! Bull: Well...um...yeah, he usually doesn't get that high... AWKWARD!!!
I remember after game 3, the commentator (Eric?) who works with Coach Chaney joked around those three guys, and they were like "oh, what a cheap joke" and Clyde said, don't be surprised if your car got scratched
last night was one of the worst commentating nights ever. i was getting pissed at TNT b/c i wanted to watch their feed and listen to their commentators. well, i couldn't b/c of the boston/chicago game so i had to put up with Bull/Bill/Clyde. it was beyond horrible. then finally, BOS/CHI game was over so i switch and who do hear? freakin PJ Carlisimo and some other douche i couldn't tell for the life of me. they were boring. it was not a pretty night sound wise.
Clyde really needs to just be himself. It's like he's read some cheap, commentators' "How To Do It" book and comes off forced and unoriginal too many times. He's best when he and Bull get into a real, nostalgic discussion about actual basketball games or situations they've been it. He's not coming at you as "Master of the Obvious" but rather Clyde the perennial all-star and all-time great, which is more of what people want.
