The "Portland Sucks!" chant has got to go...where's our class?

    Dude I hear ya there is nothing more lame than somthing sucks. At least be creative with your chants and be funny please.

    Well, it's a good thing the OP didn't hear me chanting "EAT MY S***, PORTLAND!" during game 3.

    Seriously, though, it's part of the game to have fans scream stuff that may agitate the opponents. I'm sure the players weren't too offended by it.

    We could hand out chant sheets to all fans as they enter the TC, like they do at Duke.

    if you do so, you are the man! i wish i can be there to be the craziest yeller :mad:

    it's a game, a show like WWE that we all know it's fake but we get crazy and wild. we can turn back to mr. nice after the game, but during the game, "yao, school the matha fvker!" is wut we are!

    hell, i got the mean look on my face by just typing this reply! i wish i can be there :mad:

    I think that Houston fans are WAYYYYYYY too sensitive, my point here.
    We need more "team" sucks chants and getting in the opponents head!!!

    can the rowdies please start a chant of
    "EAT THE HEAD! EAT THE HEAD!"

    this was brought up by another poster and i have yet to hear it and it would be something funny and distinctly houston. id love to hear toyota center stand up and scream that at the top of their lungs while our opponents stand there confused and our guys just kinda smile.

    The Portland Sucks chants weren't classless. The booing of TMac during the pregame video was classless however.

    Don't get me wrong, we have some good chants and sometimes we play crappy teams where the x-team sucks is somewhat appropriate but when you beat a team by 3 points and then again by 1 point, its kinda silly. I've been going to games since I was 12 during the '94/95 season and I've always sat in the upper section. Over the years we've had some pretty creative chants. I think it was a few weeks ago against Orlando that we started chanting "This Game's Over!" during the last few minutes. Everyone knows that these kind of chants come up in sports but thats what you fall back on when you're either too drunk at the game or you can't think of anything better.

    Portland is a city. Lakers is the actual team.

    But portland does suck...

    Went to game 3 with my son and the chants were there...my 8 year starting chanting along and i told him not too...something wrong about that...

    but that was tame as right behind us, these guys were drunk, cursing up a storm and that was tough...one of the guys "grillz" fell behind my son's seat and i had to pick them up and hand him back his fake grill...highlight of my night...
