As a basketball fan, I'm really sadden to see Deke go out the way he did. I respect what he has done as a player and a citizen. He's truly a great guy and a leader.

As a Rockets fan, I'm particularly saddened. This is the second time I've seen a player end their careers with an injury...Charles Barkley was the first.

Thank you Deke for all the energy and for giving us the joy seeing you in a Houston Rockets jersey for so many years. I hope they retire your number.

If there was someone that always gave his all, it was Dikembe. It's frustrating and sad. He is such a competitor and a great person. I appreciate everything he has done for us and what he continues to do for others. Much love to the big guy.

Just wanted to post my condolence's when I saw him go down I was like wow, Alonzo went down like that. You knew it was over, its crazy because they guy was a warrior for all these years, and in this series, game one, he came in was clutch blocked some high fly athletes(roy, nasty block) that were half his age. I really thought he could be a difference maker for this series. Sucks you'll never see the finger wag again, but props to deke, guy is headed to HOF, talk about longevity, he only played 2 less pro years than KAJ, and has the stats to back it up.

F*k it. I just learned about Yao. The only doubt/regret I have regarding this season is Adelman not playing Deke in regular season. I'm not going out to b**ch about Adelman.
But I learned few things about sport, especially basketball:
    1) Strength
If you don't practice it for a long time, there is greater possibility you will get hurt
    2) Excessive training brings you injuries

So, not only that I am in a group who beleive that playing Yao too much caused him injury, but also that playing Deke too little caused his injury, too.

I'm not going to demand Adelman's head cause I like some things I've seen,
but am sorry but believe that there is a great chance for both of problems..
