I don't think he meant it maliciously, he just doesn't think about the impact of his words on his team, fans and media. Maybe he's trying to seem unbiased in preparation for a broadcasting job, starting next year? Can you imagine? He would make Emmitt Smith sound like Anderson Cooper. Anyway, I think it will just add more motivation to the current squad to show him how they can get further without him, than with him.
No clue what or who a antisonic is, but we all know T-Mac says whatever is on his mind, so if he wasnt trying to light a fire under his team, he was just speaking the truth and not being biased.
That is why Tmac is considered a lazy and non-competive player. How you behave and how you talk is an indicative of how competitive of a person you are. If you're competitive and fearless, you wouldn't give any hint about your rival as being great...you shouldn't say much about them and you should talk high about your team. That is why i say we should ship him out of here...he's really not a great player anymore and just a ball hog and pretty inconsistent with his shots. Plus taking shots away from Yao and making temmates stand around instead of playing ball. He has no defense also and his behavior on the court show he's non-competitive and his smile show he has no desire to win or take over game.
Its hilarious, because if T-Mac would have said the Rockets would win the title, clutchfans would be all like "HES JINXING US" and blah blah... Why find reasons to hate?
In Hockey things like this is certainly taboo. When u are injured and your team is still fighting it out in the post season sitting on the bench or at home nobody I known will ever say this other team will likely be the champion. Hell if you shave in the post season run while it is a tradition in the league not to you get dissed from your teammates and the local media. Because in any given year there are upsets and cinderrella stories where this underdog that came out of nowhere manages to upset heavy favorities to reach the finals and in rare cases win it all. It happens once in a blue moon but it does happen. Saying something like this really negates that possibility for your team and is a complete disrespect particular when you are still being paid $20 mill from said team. Really bad karma and certainly a taboo in pro sports.
