If we make it to the second round and play the lakers, one thing to count on is using the MOTIVATION AND MOMENTUM of BREAKING OUT OF THE FIRST ROUND....AND....being ONE ROUND FRESHER. yeah, that's right...I said it. One round fresher. Instead of going through two whole rounds of drama and having the pressure of the NBA finals in our headlights if we play the Lakers in the WCF...which ADVANTAGE goes to the Lakers cuz they were there just last year and won't be as nervous, while we on the other hand are already blown out of our minds cuz the scrappy rockets made it alllllll the way to the WCF....when we we're just begging to make it out of the 1st....we can play the mighty Lakers with a little bit more achievement (1st round win), confidence, and less bruises. yeah, that's right...I said it. All in one sentence.
thanks. and yes, guys...I know all about being humble and not jumping the gun....but c'mon....let's live in the moment and enjoy the playoffs like we should...by winning.
If we do indeed beat the Lakers, we would psychologically cripple every team in the league. Cripple Cleveland, because the Lakers are the only team to have true success on their home floor (unlike the 76ers). Cripple the rest of the league, because they are worse than Cleveland.
I get the notion that if tomorrow morning, Morey announces that the Rockets are forefitting the series without even playing a game, alot of you would be somehow......relieved.
