I want to believe and love the Rockets but I need to think a bit once the dust settles.....

We have played very well against Portland.....but they are really long and athletic....and when they finally decide to front Yao it could be a problem.

    Need time to calm down.

Wait a minute -- WHAT THE CRAP?

Clutch homepage says if we win we play the Lakers or Jazz?

NBA playoffs are BRACKETED? I thought it was by seed #?

So if the Mavs at #6 beat the Spurs at #3, they don't play the Lakers? We do? That's not fair

    Someone answer

I think they can, but it would go down to a Game 7. If the Rocket's can play D like they were doing and did in the second quarter at Dallas, I believe we can win the series.

    Its always been:

    (1 vs 8) vs (4 vs 5)

    (2 vs 7) vs (3 vs 6)

I see that Portland is up big in the third quarter, but they get the 4 seed regardless?

Yeah, the NBA playoffs are bracketed. They don't reseed. The winner of the 4 v 5 matchup plays the winner of the 1 v 8 matchup.

They get the #4 seed if they win tonight (most likely the case). If they lose we get the #4 seed because we won the season series 2-1 against them.

And for the OP, the Blazers are going to be favored. I hate to say it, but Blazers in 7. I hope I'm wrong.

    Classic.

As I said last night, the Spurs are now no. 3 instead of us ONLY BECAUSE THE REFS GAVE MICHAEL FINLEY THE SHOT AFTER THE BUZZER.

THE REALITY IS THAT WERE IT NOT FOR THAT GAFFE, WE WOULD STILL BE NO. 3.

THIS WILL DIRECTLY RESULT IN US PLAYING THE LAKERS IN THE SECOND ROUND INSTEAD OF WCF.

AND NO ONE WILL SAY A WORD ABOUT IT.

    who wins?

sacramento wins, they get better draft pick now

we also win because im sure we just set a record for the most consecutive playoff appearance as a 5th seed

if they use oden to guard yao, we will be just fine. if they use another smaller guy to front yao, we are in trouble.
