He'll be the downfall of the Rox, no doubt. That display against Kobe was all I needed to see. When the pressure rises, the mentally unstable lose control. I wouldn't wanna' be the little white dude in the fifth row come game 7. "Here's Ronny!"

His name is also Yao. As people say he has been in the league long enough for Refs to be able to call fouls right, well the same in on him to start speaking up to the Refs and Leadership. Leadership is shown through more than just what you do on the court. He needs to speak up and tell people what needs to be told to them.

As long as we keep winning, then I dont see what the big deal is. Complain about it when it actually does lose us games.

    Interesting, we will see.

Yao needs to DEMAND the ball and the LEADERSHIP.

Aside from that, Ron is a pitbull and he can hurt you sometimes, but for the most part, he is exactly what we have missed in the playoffs for a decade...

No matter how bad he shoots, at the very least he gives an elite defensive performance every night....

    That is a r****d answer.

This is a team game and the Rockets would be better if Artest quit having those stupid lapses. Yes we are better with Ron than without. But those stupid lapses has cost us at least 1 game. That is the point and if you don't see that than you are RonRon reincarnarated

    Agreed.

Despite his obvious flaws, Artest still has a strong net positive effect on this team for several reasons.

If he played a little smarter, he would stand to improve that net positive effect.

After Yao, losing Artest or Scola would hurt us more than losing any other player.

Yup he needs to get his teammate more involve. His problem is decision making.

Actually I appreciate what Artest did for the Rockets so far. Once you accept that he's a beast with virtually no IQ and EQ, you'll have the same thought with me. He played a main role to help Rockets secured the division champion without the highest paid superstar. What do you want?
Artest's not yet to kill anyone in Houston. At least not yet to be suspected in any murder case. It's good for him.

I seriously think that some teams might use Ron as a strategy to go against the Rockets. In addition of getting Yao into foul trouble, getting Ron into his psycho mode and make him take stupid shots is like a turnover every procession..

I 'm very very very afraid of Artest and Brooks, especially Ron Artest in POs .

one for 2-13 shooting percentage, one for Zero assit.

If Rox meet Balzer,Spurs,Dallas or Utah in POs and ARTEST doing like today,
    WE'll S-T-O-P in 1-s-t round again!!!

What? Yao is your boy if you agree with what Bill Worrell said about Artest tonight? Is that your way to tell us that you are dumb?

Well I'd prefer Michael Jordan, but Ron's what we've got, so we're going to have to keep riding the horse that brought us here. Ron had an awful game but I can't remember him having two in a row. The problem starts when he can't make a shot and he gets frustrated, trying to force the action. When that happens, Adelman tells him to go to the basket and get fouled. That's how Artest ended up with the points he did last night despite not being able to throw it in the ocean.
