No top 4 seed ever likes to be close enough for the worst team record-wise to steal a game and end our chances for homecourt. Good the Rox turned this around, now they gotta keep it up for most of the 4th and give them no shot.
It's not nitpicking, your words were pretty clear and I adressed directly what you said.... Yes, they should beat the team, but it's not fair to not give them time to adjust, like i said, this kings team is a new one, new lineup, new style, you cant expect houston to just come out and adapt within a minute. They're showing now how over the course of the game they learned what worked and what didnt and are adjusting, they've done it lately, this isn't the first game. I disagree that they'd blow out the Kings though, maybe if the kings had a very off night, but they are a solid offensive ball club, its tough to blowout a team like that unless you'r playing out of your mind. And these kings actually hustle some on D , unlike the suns, so they can be tougher.
The only flaws in Yao's game is that he doesn't secure rebounds as well as he should, he loses post position easily at times, he has a bad habit of allowing the off man to poke the ball away from him and he's not a particularly good post defender. OTOH, he has excellent touch, passes the ball well, shoots free throws well (so if he ever gets calls, he makes the opponent pay), he doesn't need a lot of different moves to get a reasonable shot, and has a pretty good basketball IQ. I just wish the team did a better job of feeding him in the post. He should be averaging at least 24 points a game, IMO.
Great game so far. AB and Ron look pretty balanced and are playing within themselves. AB still strugling with his shot but he isnt trying to force anything. He is looking for Yao as the first option, which is what he needs to do at all times and play off of him. Artest on the other hand is taking it to the basket more and not trying to just standing outside and jack up 3s. Good to see those 2 guys coming along.
