    That's not actually true.

The Spurs currently hold the tiebreaker with a 9-6 division record as opposed to our 8-6, so we're technically behind them.

And, since we're not a division leader, our (currently) tied record with Denver puts us behind them in the standings.

    So we're still #4.

I thought, it was the season series tie breaker that came first!?!?

Houston will move down to #3 and Utah down to #6.

Damn! It is destiny that we meet them in the 1st round.

Not when one team is a division leader and the other isn't.

We're tied with SA in the season series, and since they're in-division, division record is the next tiebreaker. That means the Spurs are still in the lead in the SW.

So, since we're second in our division and Denver's first, we lose the primary tiebreaker in that scenario. If we were both in first place, then the season series would be the next tie breaker.

With the same overall winning percentages, the division leader wins the tie breaker.

Utah is on a fast track to finish in the 8th spot. Check out their road record and their six games left on the road are with playoff teams. I smell a 6 game road losing streak and the 8th spot for the Jazz. :)

too early to draw this conclusion.

houston will be 3th seed with the probability of 60% at the end of this season, and Jazz will be 6th with the probabilty of 20%.

    Go and see...

but we have no chance to straggle to the first place, this season the Jazz is also gonna have a taste of being killed in the first round. :D

we'll be 4th if Denver wins tonight.

we own the three way tie between us, Denver, and the Spurs with a 5-3 record between the three teams.

portland is moving up to 5th aren't they? We'll be 4 and portland 5 for now...

NO is going to go on at least a 3 game winning streak and will move up soon, portland and utah faces denver Thur, so that's another huge game. Hopefully NO sneaks into the 5th spot.
