I am excited about this win.

If Spurs could lose to the Thieves (Thunder), Celtics to the Bulls and Lakers to the Sixers, we got to be happy.

There are no ugly wins, just good wins or ugly losses.

RE: one of Chaney's "keys to the game" tonight was "don't let the Pistons outhustle you". And........we did. Most of these guys have been playing basketball for 15-20-25 years of their lives. Cardinal rule taught by even YMCA 3rd grade coaches: BLOCK OUT ON THE BOARDS!" And......... for most of the night, we didn't.

Battier should try harder to get some shots.
For most of the time he just stand quietly in the corner watching Ron Artest dribbling 24 secs away.
    It's no fun.

IMO bringing in Hayes to try for a defensive stop on Stuckey was a really good move. When Stuckey got around the pick, Hayes jumped out to help Lowry and he almost stripped the ball from Stuckey.

Stuckey just made a fantastic move to avoid the strip, thread through Hayes and Lowry, and then Scola and Battier, on his way to the basket.

It was a good call by Adelman, but a better drive by Stuckey.

Rockets leading by 2 points, less than 24 seconds to play and RA calls a time out. He takes Yao out of the game and the opponent drives straight through the center of the paint and scores. This is like groundhog day and RA keeps doing it! He then puts Yao back in when the opponent is obviously going to foul but doesn't allow the ball to be thrown to Yao, the Rockets' best FT shooter.
I was among the first to call for RA to coach the Rockets even before JVG was fired. But I now know why he never won championships even when several of his teams were leading going into the last few seconds of championship games. He is simply a bad coach in the clutch.

I could've sworn I saw Bob Sura sitting in the front row wearing a white t-shirt. Did anybody else? Is he a regular at Rockets games?

what do you suggest, that shane and the rest of the rockets steal the ball from Ron? You pretty much countered your own statement there.

Is Artest hurt? I'm not trying to find an excuse for him, but he looks like he's limping. If it's his ankle, his shot's going to be affected.

Regardless, good things happen when Artest drives to the basket.

playrs just can't win sometimes. If he takes too many he's taqking shots away from others who are better scorers, if he takes a few and misses then he can't shoot, if he takes 1 shot...and makes it...then there's still a problem? Maybe all the scorers around him got better, want to take more shots, and he's defering to them? Seems logical to me...

What a tough win! But then Piston is an undermanned team tonight.

While it's kinda sad RA has to speak up for Yao, it's also sad our teammates can't recognize that Yao should be the go to option especially when he's not doubled.

seems like Battier has some abberation-related syndrome recently, his offence is not like this before.

Quit being such a homer, the second replay from ESPN clearly showed a blocking foul.
