    Which one doesn't fit?

    Shane Battier $6,373,900
    Matt Barnes $1,200,000
    Trevor Ariza $2,911,600
    Tony Allen $2,500,000

Well after San Antonio....how many close games can the team afford to lose by having a guy that shoots only 1 shot ?

Battier needs to score or contribute as an offensive threat......or Wafer needs to play more.

    Truth.

I know you basically as T-Mac "hater" (that is in quotes cause I know you're just disappointed), but is their anyone who misses him more than Battier? Okay, maybe Chuck Hayes, but still :p

Ok Barnes is only 23 and Ariza and Allen together have not started as many NBA basketball games as Shane Battier.

    You, sir, FAIL.

Check that, Ariza is only 23 and Barnes and Allen totals together don't equal Battier NBA starts.

The only thing I don't like about increasing Wafer's minutes is the sharing of the ball. With Wafer playing more minutes this takes shots away from Yao and the others. Plus we all know how much Ron likes to shoot and to top it off with a shoot first PG, we might be looking at Yao taking about 8 shots a game.

It could transform this team into a jumpshooting team. I think slowly we may go away from our inside out game.

I know everybody is a shane fan but imm not.he is more of a liability to the team than Tmac.you always say he's playing great defence but the man he is gaurding still is scoring 20 or more points..yet shane scores maybe 1 or 4 at the max.thats not a good ratio.i think he should come off the bench and start wafer he is or future.shane has lost it just like tmac he is done.

It doesn't feel like this happens often, but I agree with DD on this one.

Battier's offensive limitations are pretty much completely mitigated when he has the ability to hit the three (even moreso when he used to be able to make that little right or lefty hook in the paint when he had a mismatch... that's something else that seems to have disappeared this year), but when he can't, he is just a big, glaring hole in the offense.

Kinda like Chuck Hayes, who only can hit 2 ft layups and get them block by SG's.

How do you get out of a shooting slump?

    Shoot the ball.

I'd much prefer a good shooting Battier than an aggressive Wafer. He's got over a dozen games to work out his shot, and if we can get him to do that before that playoffs, that's fine. We're making the playoffs and I'd rather have Battier on his game for that. Keep him in. Let him shoot. He's smart, he'll figure it out.

If Battier keeps shooting the ball, the Rox will go on a 14 game losing streak, let his ass shoot in practice if he is so smart

ive been saying that shanes role next year should be off the bench. hopefully the team can trade tmac for a starting SG and a backup C.

for now, DD is right. when the offense struggles von is the way to go. if we need to execute better (get the ball to yao) or tighten up the D then shane is our guy.

the problem with von is that he makes a lot of mistakes to go along with his great plays. barry is a good option for offense, no mistakes, but can't create his own shot like von.

He shot the ball one time last game. What more do you want.

Less drinking, more sense on your post...period

barry plays even worse defense than wafer....barry plays the passing lanes, but barry can't guard a fire hydrant..

wafer atleast contest a jump shot, barry just let them shoot and take off to the other end

come on, 2 ft layups?....You know chuck hayes doesnt have that kinda range....

maybe 6 inches from the rim, but anything further than that, is an automatic miss

We need to try an implement James White into the rotation or at least get him a few minutes. I think he can offer 10 to 15 minutes a game of what we lack. Someone who can slash to the basket, make a jump shot, and play fairly good defense. :p

As you gain in intelligence and understanding you will find that happening a lot more frequently.
