I don't think this game means much. I think we would have lost to the Clippers, Thunder or Bobcats even.

I've just noticed a couple of things which we probably need to get back to. Here are the things that have stopped happening recently:

    - Aaron Brooks driving and attacking the rim and using his 3-pter as a secondary threat.
    - Von Wafer attacking the basket relentlessly.
    - Kyle Lowry attacking the basket. Now he's started taking 3's, which he shouldn't be doing at all.

We rely on these 3 guys to do these things. They are shooting decent percentages, but the defense is giving them better shots. Wafer shot 50% tonight, but the defense was giving him 60-70% for the night.

I hope Adelman reminds them that they have roles on this team and that they can't just start freelancing.

I'm actually quite certain we'll bounce back, but these 3 things were slowly beginning to stick out.

Don't forget your Center Yao only taking 9 shots for the night. I would definately want to see those guys attack the rim more, using Yao and Scola to set some picks.

were Lowry's 3 bad shots though or was he wide open or with the clock winding down? I dont think this is going to become a habit, he did have that great pass to Yao with one sec left on the shot clock and that probably was the best time, out of any, to shoot a 3. I wouldnt worry too much about him.

I thought Wafer had as good a game as any Rockets player last night.

I didn't think he settled much at all. He attacked the rim and kept us in the game on more than one occasion.

They were not the problem tonight. In fact these three guys were a big reason why we went up during the half. What I want is better substitution patterns, integrating Hayes, Barry and Deke in the rotation (even if only 5 mins or so), and more emphasis on our BEST player-Scolandry. Of course since Adelman is our coach goodluck with that happening. Maybe in 3-4 games and a few more ass-whupins he'll realize he needs to change it up a bit...

    Agree.

I cannot creat a thread, but I do want to say something after reading some post.Hope you don't mind. Some "Houston rockets fans" are really ridiculous.Every time when a rockets player had a off game, they labeled the player as a loser, and denied anything he has done before this game. After the game rockets beat the Cavalier at home, they said yao is great.Today Yao had a off game, they said yao is never great.they forgot the day "see you in houston",they forgot yao lead the team to No 3 seed in Western conference without Tracy Mcgrady! The same thing happed in Ron/Von/brooks,after a great game, they are good players, after a bad game, they are bad players.

Yes today we lost today, but lost to Lakers, the best team in the league.Lakers lost to portland 2 days ago,and they lost by 17,I don't know if the lakers fans had blamed KB/Gasol/Fisher...so hard.

Too many critics, too few fans. I am proud of the team and still believe in them!

the offence stagnates when aaron is in the line-up. he looks to shoot-first rather than setting his teammates up first (especially yao).

he is really an undersized, and glorified 2-guard. but he's tiny!
    remember earl boykin?

this has been said many times, but kyle lowry needs to be the starting point guard with yao, and let aaron be the energy guard off the bench to provide the spark.

the beginning of 2nd half was terrible, and i attribute it large to brooks, he really messed up team chemistry and momentum by jacking up those quick 3's.

we could've really won this game!
