I've gotten nostalgic over a few threads and put some old Super Nintendo ROMs on my computer. That said, it doesn't feel right using the keyboard. What is the best way to get a NES controller to work on the computer? As in the best computer adaptable one, obviously. TIA
My bad. I didn't read the whole post. Here ya go... http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-SUPER-NINTE...5|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50
Thanks! Out of curiousity, is there a "universal" controller? ie. one that pretty much works with any old gaming unit on here?
That one should work fine for anything that has the same amount or less buttons. You just have to program the buttons in whatever emulator you're using. I personally use a PS2 controller with a usb adapter for games I emulate. Of course, I'm not like a purist or anything.
This should do the trick... http://cgi.ebay.com/High-Speed-Dual...286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:15|39:1|240:1318
I just use this little USB controller I bought at wal-mart for 10 bucks that has a D-pad, 4 buttons and 4 top buttons PS2 style. It does the job. demonoid has a torrent with like 16,000 SNES files, Its kind of a pain in the ass to sort through though, I was playing Mortal Kombat last night.
Sure. Download a NES emulator and then download the ROM for the game. Get a controller like what's being discussed here and you're set.
you know you can play all the NES Games online at Virtualnes.com???? Try It, It's Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
