Doese anyone here understand what defense means and can explain why Scola has a 6W 10 L record when he plays in the cluth time? http://www.82games.com/0809/08HOU10.HTM#clutch
And his points are very timely. He gives the impression that he's capable of much more, but is willing to defer.
I'm not living in the past, but lets not forget that last year's streak started once Luis did. The dude is slowly becoming a great player. Remember that Ginoblislowly got better and better. I hope the same happens for Luis. Look out league!
Great post. I will have to disagree with the Tmac bit though. Before this season, he has been our assist leader year in and year out and is or was an unselfish player. Also, I think a player like Tmac tends to coast in the regular season, drawing the ire of the fans, but he put in the effort when it counted. Scola isn't such a great player simply because he outworks his competition, althougth that is a big part of it. He is a very skilled player and has an innate sense of where the ball is going, especially on offensive rebounds.
Scola makes up for Yao's fumbles in the post. There were numerous times Scola got the loose ball and went back to work.
spurms GM sucks see how scola played last night, spurms? scola > bonner offensively while scola > KT defensively, lol @ spursm.
I wish his contract was one year longer. I think he will demand huge money and might not have that many years left in the tank. If we had him under contract for one more year it would be perfect.
I always admired what he did on the court. A not too flashy player, he has the fundamentals to dominate in the post. I really hope the team would keep him in the long run. He's a proven winner .
