Would you rather keep McGrady this year, even if he has to shut it down until next year (meaning he won't come back for this year's playoffs) OR would you trade McGrady right now?

    Thoughts?

Trade him, before his value is even worse if that's possible.

This team is better without him, Rockets need to get players that would also compliment Yao and Artest. T-Mac doesn't compliment anybody.

If you can trade him, do it. Almost the only way we end up with a bad deal is if it has to include one or more of our non-expendables.

I may be totally wrong but I always thought teams aren't allowed to trade injured players, the Horry-trade with San Antonio never happened because of Sean Elliott's injury, right?

his trade value is at an all time low. it's a negative when you take into consideration how much money he makes.

    KEEP HIM UNTIL THE SUMMER.

why? because an ending contract of that size going into 2010 would be one of the most desirable assets in the NBA. morey can demand a kings ransom then.

His value as a player is pretty much non-existent already. However, the value of his contract will increase from now on to the deadline next February.

You got to keep him, even though he is struggling right now, he has helped us in many years in the past. Hopefully he can overcome this injury, and be ready by mid-March.

You keep him because of his past accomplishments? Tell that to Steve Francis and see how's that working out for him.

Steve Francis in his prime was traded as a Houston Rocket, you honestly think this franchise will keep somebody because of their "Past accomplishments"??

Either you don't realize it's a business thing, or you don't know what Steve Francis has done to this franchise.

I will give him away for FREE. He's a bad karma for the Rockets with all the injuries.

my thoughts = this thread is entirely unnecessary. this opinion has been hashed out all over the front page of the GARM. please stop making needless threads.

His value will go up considerably next year. We should keep him, for now.

Hopefully trade him in the summer as a big expiring, hopefully landing us a good PG and maybe a little depth.

    Insert PG Here
    Artest
    Battier
    Scola
    Yao

    I like it.
