    How about this? http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/4/

    We trade:
    Artest, Landry, Brooks

    We get:
    Sessions, Villanueva, Gadzuric

We trade Artest (who supposedly doesn't get along with Tmac) and might be gone at the end of this year anyway. Landry goes while his value is high. Brooks goes because he may never be starter quality.

We get Sessions who is blowing up and could likely start sooner or later. He's much better than Brooks IMHO. Villanueva is younger than Landry, I don't think he has an injury history, he's much better at creating his own shot. I feel like V could be a starter but I'm not sure Landry could be. (I don't know if I'd start V over Scola, but he's pretty talented offensively.) Since V. can shoot the 3 it's possible he could play SF for periods (maybe?). Gadz is the worst part of the deal for us, but he could be a backup C for 2 years. He was an okay defensive force in the past but he might be washed up now. He's here to make salaries match.

Milwaukee gets Artests' expiring. They get Landry, who is a Wisc product. Brooks replaces Sessions for them.

My ideal trade this trade deadline. It it works out, could be as good as the Chauncey Billups trade!

    McGrady

    for

    Michael Redd (injured)
    &
Damon Jones (aka Amon Ones - no 'd' and no 'j')

counting this year, tracy has 2 years, redd has 3 years, and jones is an expiring. milwaukee does it to get money for summer 2010; we do it to rid ourselves of tracy and have a little money to play with this summer.

Vince + Trenton Hassell + Sean Williams

    for

    Tracy + Dorsey

nj clears out much needed space for summer 2010, we get rid of tracy. nj dumps sean williams, throws in hassell for salary purposes, as do we, with dorsey. vince's contract goes 3 years with a team option for the 4th, but even in the last year, it's something like 18M.

what success? 6th seed? Man, we're 6th seed in the WESTERN CONFERENCE and look how many trades we're looking at.

Miller might walk this summer if the team doesn't make some serious noise in the playoffs.

Salmons has started every game this season for the Kings and is averaging 18.3 ppg on 47.2 FG% and 41.9 3P%. Last season he was shooting 47.7 FG% and the season before at 45.7 FG%. So it's not a fluke. He's locked into MLE, just under MLE sized contract.

    Alston, Barry, *
    Salmons, Wafer, *
    Battier, Artest, KT
    Scola, Landry, Dorsey
    Yao, Miller, Deke

    Another try:

    We trade Artest and Landry

    We get Gordon and Thomas

Artest for Gordon - probably helps us offensively a great deal. Hurts us defensively, of course. Maybe we can afford to resign Gordon but not Artest? This may help even more if McGrady is out for the season.

Landry for Thomas - Thomas probably has more upside. Can be a defensive force.

    How about this trade:

Houston Recieves: Vince Carter, Devin Harris, Josh Boone.

New Jersey Recieves: Tracy McGrady, Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry.

Why Houston Does It: We get a major upgrade at the point with Harris, we get a great wing scorer with Carter, and a back-up center/forward with Boone.

    Harris/Alston
    Carter/Wafer/Barry
    Artest/Shane
    Scola/Hayes (or Boone)
    Yao/Boone/Deke

Why New Jersey Does It: They get rid of Carter's contract and take on tracy's (which expires in 2010), and they get 2 young promising players to build with/around in the future.
