It was never mentioned in the email from Ocho Texto that he was from Clutch Fans. I think if it was someone from here that is terrible... It is on thing to criticize a player on the clutchfans bbs but not in the national media. He is part of our team and we have to have his back and not degrade him by calling him Tracy "McLady" for every NBA Fan to laugh at.
If you listen to Sportsradio 610, Ocho Texto texts gets mentioned on there alot. He even had some with Morey.
So should we bury our heads in the sand (or other dark places) and try to tell the rest of the sports world that he's a hard-working, self-sacrificing, team-oriented, sharp shooter? C'mon. The rest of the knowledgeable sports world already knows what we do. What's the difference to ESPN if it comes from Houston or from anwhere else?
This nickname given to him has been here on Clutchfans for the longest time. therefore I felt someone from here wrote them. Either that or he was a lurker who reads clutchfans.
I hear you, tinman. It was a good listen. The name "ocho texto" alone is funny. As far as the nick "McLady", it's not such an innovative name that non-CFs couldn't have come up with it, too. The same goes for T-Back, T-Slack, Grady, etc... In my opinion, they all do have some merit though.
