If you had to make a characature of nutty Republicans, it would be hard to come up with a dumber remark, when we have this huge economic problem.

There is no negotiation with morons like him. You just have to outvote them. So much for bi-partisanship.

 

That's just too good to be true, are you sure that wasn't taken from the onion? I think the journalist was just having some fun with the second line.

It's dumb in the sense of the accidental funniness of the language. But to be fair, it's not exactly what people have in mind when they think of an economic stimulus or infrastructure bill. I don't know what section he's referring to of the bill, but it doesn't seem like a stupid, unrelated expenditure if it's true.
