    I'm pretty sure the first instance of chemical warfare was some caveman farting on the face of some other caveman he had pinned down when fighting over a chick or food.

    But back then Baghdad was part of the Persian Empire. Or was it Babylon? I'm not 100% sure.

    Always seems like the findings come across as them scooping up some remains, knocking a little dirt off, eyeballing it for a bit and saying "Yep, you can just tell. Their chief export was spices, this was 20 years before the famine struck. This man was trained as a swordsman...."

    lol. I was just messing with you guys. Alexander conquered the Persian empire a bit before the dating of the Baghdad battery, but who knows how long they'd been around. It's freaky that stuff like this existed... then was "re-discovered" much much later. Who knows what they were used for.

    I think many believe the Ark of the Covenant told of in the Old Testament is believed by some to be some form of a capacitor.

    As for the chemical warfare, I don't know if I'd glorify that, though... :D
