first off.. yes rafer had a good game .. lets give him some props.. bad part is can he keep it up.. history tells us NO.. he just doesnt have it in him to be a consistent player.. no fault of rafers.. he plays hard.. but he just isnt as talented and cant shoot and will make bone headed plays down the stretch... any player can have a few good games in a season... and wrong .. tmac had a amazing tripple double game for us which is a lot better stat line than above..

I would understand this excuse if there was only one ref, but there are 3 of them... from three different angles... and Yao had the ball in his hands (thus, they would have been watching him).

If he doesn't see it, he needs to defer to another ref who saw it clealnly.

Not simply make a bad call, and then compound the bad call by calling a tech.

There needs to be a training course for the NBA refs... if Yao Ming is angry enough to where you think he deserves a tech, there's a good chance you blew the call.

There are 3 refs. I don't know where she and the other ref were at the time. Could have been blocked on the play. I bet she or the other guy would have called a late foul on Birdman if it weren't for the traveling call.

He doesn't get enough respect. He defends better than any of our guards. He doesn't take a had shot, low turnovers, good passer. Despite some stellar games by AB, he still is the best PG on the team. Only change I would like to see just to see how effective it would be is to have Mac play point, I think that would be interesting.

The radio guys calling the game at 610 said Adelman took Wafer out and inserted Battier after JR Smith hit two consecutive 3s. From the way they sounded JR Smith got aggressive in the fourth and wasn't missing.

Anyways, very proud of the guys. The Denver nuggets are a legit playoff team and not an easy win missing McGrady and Artest.

"Because it is only marginally better than being witless."

    What's the question?

People need to stop whining about the refs. All bigs are called different than any other positions. Dream scored 48 in denver without a ft attempt. How is that possible? Shaq played a entire playoff game without a free throw. Yao is like other bigs, heeds just keep powering through. Great win, yao was aggressive offensively minus 4 rebs which is unacceptable. Rafer, scola, wafer, and brooks played well. Where was shane?

    Stupid excuse.

In this day and age, refs should be able to account for the size/strength of big men, just like they do for the speed/athleticism of wing players.

They're consistent on the perimeter... and defenses adjusted to it. If they become consistent down low, the defenses will adjust to that too.

no, that was indeed an offensive foul. it was not on Nene, it was on Kleza.

NBA.com listed nene has only 5 fouls, which means the offensive four was on Kleza.

Only saw the last three minutes or so of the game...we dodged several bullets down the stretch...big time.

That last foul to give should have been given at some point.

This is a great win. The Nuggets are a very capable team even without Melo.

First half defense number was troubling, though.

That was one of the worst officiated games I've seen in a long time. From the traveling call on Yao, to the several other no calls that didn't go Yao's way, to the call on Nene. I'm glad it went our way, but there wasn't enough there to make that call. Violet, you are absolutely horrible.

IMO, I don't think he does, those teardrops he misses are high percentage shots, his lack of athleticism makes them harder. When he shoots a three they are usually wide open, when he does shoot its usually some time into the shot clock after working the ball around for the best shot. Not defending his lack of makes, he is not a good shooter but his shot selection is not bad.

Like the others have said, the offensive foul was on Kleza, not Nene.
