Yao did get 5 offensive rebounds. He played far better than tmac and ron today, which by itself is not saying much though.

You are right, but we still need to address this rebounding issue.

You can see it when we play the Lakers and the Celtics, we are getting killed on the boards and its up to our TALLEST PLAYERS to fight for the boards.

Scola is undersized, he's not going to transform into Barkley, we need Yao to win the battle of the boards.

It is not about fight, it is about fundamentals...and boxing out.

    Scola does it fairly well.

Yao does not, Landry does not, and right now Tmac is not helping out much on the glass as he usually does.

The team is getting killed on the glass, and while some of it is a lack of athleticism, most of it is a lack of committment.

He only play 27 minutes if the Ref keep getting him in foul trouble he can be as aggressive the rest of the way.

He is been getting in foul trouble a lot lately and some are really questionable calls.

maybe Yao needs to pull a Rodman and concentrate less on his offense and transform into a rebounding machine.

we have plenty of good offensive players.

Yao typically does box out. Scola and Landry do not. Those two rely on hustling more than fundamentals. Gasol wasn't Yao's man for most of the night. Scola and Landry need to do a better job of putting a body on their men so Yao won't have to fight multiple rebounders. It should be a total team effort.

    true that.

yao, or anyone's rebouding rate will not change much. it's just the physics of basketball. he played 27 minutes tonight and had 8 rebounds. that's about his normal rate.

rebounding is one of the top issues right now. i do agree to that. and in general it's more of a team commitment.

Scola and Landry aren't magically going to transform into Otis Thorpe and Dennis Rodman.

    Yao remains our player
who has the chance to be the best rebounder on the team.

neither is yao gonna suddenly become tim duncan or d. howard. are you talking about the reb. rate or the #? 'cause for the #'s yao is the best rebounder on this team (of course i'm not saying he cannot improve any more). if it's the reb. rate, it's just hard to change.

some improvement in the fundamentals, a bit more emphasis team-wide, maybe. the thing is we as a team need to at least go back to the level we were at last year. that is where the concern is, isn't it? the rebounding issue right now is on the entire team. everyone included, not only yao.

pau did dominate teh inside 2nd half, thats teh reason why we lost. about teh 5 oreb, as i said sometimes u got fooled by stats. yao still sux on rebounding 2day if u did watch teh game. anyway not many team can handle bynum+gasol inside, we cant blame yao too much on that tbh since teh whole team sux. just point out that yao is wai overrated.

yao is teh best rebounder on this team? NO HES NOT! landry, scola, hayes, dorsey all better than him on reboundin if u ever watch games. well yes hes average 10 rebounds per game, so wut? dont be fooled by stats. we often see that yao gets rebound and lose it in secs, and yes that still counts 1 rebound for yao rofl. yao sux on reboundin no doubt. if u only talkin about teh stats, yao's rebounding skillz seems at top lvl as TD and DH, very close. but if u watch games, u would find out that not many C or PF have worse reboundin skillz than yao gg.

This kind of intentional misspelling has no place around here. If you want people to read your posts and take them (you) seriously, please stop purposely typing like a 5th grader or like you're sending a drunken text message shout out to all your peeps.
