he's no longer a reg. season superstar. too many games -> too inconsistent. he was this way last year too. but showed up in the playoffs

so he's still a postseason superstar performer though.

I hate threads like that. Obviously, he played as bad as you could sunday. So there are no excuses.

But your comments here will be different when he will bounce back against Suns (really hope so). I belive prople here are inconsistent

I saw this too. I'm pretty sure what happened was that the TO was called AFTER they started advancing the ball and BEFORE they had crossed half court, which means you have to start in the back court, with the shot clock down a little bit, which increases the chances of an 8 second violation, slows the offense, and doesn't make much sense when you can take 3 more steps and start with the ball in the frontcourt. Not a big deal, just a miscommunication, i think.

Tmac can't go out like this he needs at least a ring first. We just need to be patient and give them time to gel together, I know he would bounce back.

In a word ... yes. He never had the competitive fire to be a truly great player. He takes too many possessions off. The accumulated laziness is now catching up to him.

    As a superstar - yes
As a franchise player - probably
As a feature player - not really
    As a player - no

I got hammered some for putting up a thread suggesting that Tracy might need to be the third of our Big Three on offense, but so far, this is why. We can't rely on him game to game....sometimes quarter to quarter. I'm not saying this to dog him out or demand we get rid of him, just trying to think of how we maximize what our roster offers.

Yao has a history of fading over the course of the game, Ron is a strong 2ry guy that can get shot-ridiculous if he feels it's all on him (shades of Rafer), and McGrady does not/can not/will not play at his best from end to end.

McGrady's best role right now, at this stage of his career (and rapidly aging body) may be as our closer. If there are games were he uncorcks on a team early...great! Ride it! But in games where he isn't (and once we have Battier back for depth) - hold him out a little and unleash him in the 4th.

T-mac isn't an above average guard, hes even better than kobe, it is jus tat he is not motivated and does not giv his best in season games and onli givs his 100% during playoffs, futhermore, it is also us fans tat has caused t-mac to become so meek.....
Fans has been complaining tat t-mac is gettin injured too regualarly, causin t-mac to be unwilling to drive to the bucket as tat is wher most injuries occur, so say t-mac is done........... hes jus not into it yet, we needed this game for a wake up call, or even lose the next 5, it would be a great wake-yp call to the whole team tat they need to step up their game as a team

The thing about it is, he can't be effective without dominating the ball. He won't move on offense, he sure as hell won't make a hard cut. That's what this offense is all about.

how can you say "he is not a superstar anymore" or "he's done".i mean come on guys last week he was a beast against blazers and celtics so he can not be done in one or two days.so what we lost 2 games of 82 games.SOME ROCKETS FANS NEED TO STFU!!!
tracy is a human he can't play %100 every game (even when hes healthy)
WE NEED TO SUPPORT THE ROCKETS AND PLEASE STOP COMPLAINING AND BLAMING.

I don't know....just because you can score the ball, doesn't make you a superstar in my opinion.

A star..yes...but a superstar is someone extra special, an all timer.

    Magic
    Bird
    Hakeem
    Jordan
    Kobe

I don't think Tmac ever reached that level.
