Damn, how do you do it? How do you say stuff like that even though you know damn well Barney was very popular and has spent time in the media spotlight?

What's wrong with picking out a non-purebred from a shelter?

If one of the daughters is allergic, it'd make sense to be picky about breed.

As long as it isn't a small dog, I'm okay. I can't allow someone to be my president with a chihuahua in his handbag.

    I love mutt's! I've had a beagle/german shephard and a dach/terrier mix dogs. Both have been great and was/is a beautiful dog.

It certainly does. My own experience with a Labradoodle is that they scarcely shed and have little in the way of allergens, and when I had mine, I had a couple of friends who were allergic. The Wonder Dog didn't cause them to react. Looking back, it's funny that we didn't notice it at the time. What people noticed was his amazing intelligence. As to size, he weighed around 45 pounds. The perfect size. Not so heavy that you couldn't pick him up, but big enough to scare the hell out of someone when he decided that person needed it.

Not to mention mixed breeds generally have less health problems.

I'm not sure really. Some say it's just a God given talent I was born with.

More press coverage on Barney this morning. Who knew a Scottish Terrier could handle reporters better than a pitbull w/ lipstick?
