Got to see the Rockets practice at the wellness center over on 59-fondren...

    Tmac was a little off...
Brent Barry was scroching hot from the 3...
    Scola taking Landry to school...
    Steve looks slow...
yao Ming looked pretty good...taking good shots..

Just took one pic of Ron Artest..security was tight in there...ha!

Pretty cool. You even snapped a picture, which of course validates this thread :)

I just want to reiterate that I think Barry is going to be a big asset this year. We haven't seen the Yao/Tracy combo (much less with Ron added to it) actually play with a skilled dead eye 3 point shooter. He's going to get so many wide open looks that it's ridiculous.

I couldn't agree more. Barry by himself would have been a good acquisition, but now coupled with the Artest trade, I think having someone like Barry coming off the bench is going to be HUGE factor in the playoffs. This team feels like the Lakers teams in the 2000s, the Heat team that won the title, and the Celtics of last year. A great starting 5, with good, solid veterans off the bench to help keep things steady.

I thought it will take a few more weeks before Steve could back.

I'm glad you got to see them practice. I work just down the street from that area.

Well at least you didn't get shot in that area. Pretty bad area on the SW.

jon was a great player but i believe that Brent is much more versatile than Jon was. and I believe brent is a better shooter too.

You're right, he would qualify. But while the Barry's are all smart players, Jon is no Brent in terms of his versatility.

Honestly, though, if Brent can just give us what Jon gave us, I'll be stoked.

Why weren't they using the Toyota Center practice facility?

I will assume you are referring to a season of up pull-up fastbreak 3's...if that is the case, then I am stoked!!
