I caught that they said (I think) Bailey ran at 27.2 and Bolt topped out at 30...sounded like conjecture, though.

Yeah, and that was on PTI, the pinnacle of funny yet horrible sports journalism. Plus, Stat Boy corrected him.

What a phenomenal performance by the Jamaican bobsled team. To finish the race after everything they had to go through. Brilliant.

What Michael Phelps did in this Olympics had to be considered the single greatest achievement in the history of the Olympics. Congratulations!

I can't believe how biased the judges in gymnastics are towards Chinese gymnasts. That Chinese girl fell on her knees, touched the ground with both hands, landed outside the area, jumped very low and still got scores higher than some 'lesser' gymnasts on good vaults. There's no way she should be in the lead. What a disgrace!

edit: Is anyone watching? Why did they give the Russian girl a 0 on the second vault?!? Oh, I know, because it would be impossible for her not to overtake the Chinese gymnast if she would have gotten an adequate score so they tought 'screw it, that didn't count'.

edit2: Oh, wow, the Chinese girl ended up only third. Whatever, she shouldn't even be close to medals.

I don't remember correctly, but I believe that difficulty level of 6.5 on that vault. So even if it's a 0.8 deduction for hitting her knees, it's still a decent score because it's completion + difficulty.

And to be fair, her first vault was pretty ridiculous.

I really don't think there's biased judging. If there is bias, it's only in the way they calculate difficulty scores for the perfomances.

That's why people are messing up, because it's hard to win if you perform low-difficulty moves even if you're perfect.

I've never seen so many people mess up like they are this Olympics. People are just dropping left and right.

Wow, is this your first time watching gymnastics?
Have you ever heard "difficulty level" and "2 vaults"
