Some of you guys really makes me laugh...

Whenever there's a topic about China, you just turn it into a political debate...

    Unbelievable.. :D

Good for Yao. The D&D is a good place for the history. BTW, if africa was a unified as china, they wouldn't be under so much stress now.

Well, if you consider George W. Bush was elected two times in a row and that McCain is getting 40% Americans' support so far, I am not surprised Chinese people "respect and love" Mao. Btw, I am a Chinese who does not respect and love Mao at all.

Some people just can help hating others. They still live in the cold war mentality. There is no need to get worked up because of idiotic posts, just put him on your ignore list.

    I hate this nonsense.

Bury your head deep in the sands.

This is about Yao carrying the Olympic torch. Is water coming into your brains and blurring your vision?

It is a disturbing picture. Not only in that Mao is basically responsible for mass murder but in that the Chinese government has bent over backwards to make this event non-political and yet here's Yao Ming standing in front of Mao carrying the Olympic torch.

you have any idea where that picture is? it's right in front of tian'anmen square. and what's wrong with Yao holding the torch, standing at the symbolic center of China?

That image to me is just Yao carrying a torch on tiananmen square. I can not see any politics there.
Better yet, lets find out who took the picture and who put it on the web to show whose politics.

Maybe someone here is just too sensitive in your cold war mindset?

yep, the photo is taken by a western reporter (Ricardo Mazalan from AP ). And it is published on a western news website. The purpose is to let you feel disturbing while hating Mao and China more. That's your media which is a product of your politics.

It is you Westerns are playing the politics there. Don't blame China.

If you feel disturbing, that's because you bought into it. You are brainwashed by the media like this one.

LOL Right. We have gigantic pictures of Reagan propped up all around the USA depicting our sensitivity to the cold war.
