he is happy to be a rocket and a whole lot of talk about the brawl and how it is 4 years ago. He said he did talk to yao about it and everything is ok between him and Yao.
Ron Artest talked to Tracy this morning and tmac gave Ron Yao mings number and they worked it all out. Artest is very happy to be a rocket.
Yao comments, great convo with Yao this morning. Just Yao wants to win, told Yao everything will be alright. Talk about the brawl, not that big understood Yao's concerns. Happy to be a Rocket. Wants people to look at him for who he is, not just the past. Hoping to improve his image. Understood why Tmac never made it out of the first round. Has a good chance this year. Repeated if Yao not out last year, Rockets would be real good. Wouldn't need him if Yao was healthy. Thats pretty much sums it all up. Maybe minor details but nothing important.
said that tmac needed a team to get out of the first round, and that he is really excited about playing this year. he says that the rockets are ready to take down everyone hard for him to see rockets being beat
It was a good interview. He seem very excited to be a Rocket and has a lot of respect for TMac and Yao. He says we are ready to take down everybody!
Sounded like he diffused everything. Im glad he did. didnt bash Yao or anything and is looking forward to beat everyone. Gosh I wish the season would start yesterday.
Great interview. seems very humble, and excited to be a rocket. Hope all works out because with him there are some amazing things we can do. GO ROX
After all the Yao business, they asked what he thought of Tmac and how everybody rides him for not getting out of the first round. Artest alluded to MJ with the Bulls and how they brought pieces around him. Similarly, TMac now has that opportunity. Also asked how well he thinks the Rox are gonna do now. He said he already believed we couldve won the championship last year if Yao hadn't gone down. He says now he can't even see us losing (not in an overly egotistical way). He cited that after all the external humbleness someone can show on the outside, competitors still want to win it all in the end. I thought it was a great interview. Shows he is dedicated to winning. He's honest, and he's ready to win.
Um, what he said was if Yao'd been healthy we had a chance to win it all last year. He was just saying the Rockets didn't necessarily need him to contend.
