He's got the tools, length, athleticism and a nice stroke. Like Turner said he needs to put in the work, he's a shooter so he should practice like Gilbert Arenas does shoot until your arm falls off.

That is a major weakness of his,in addition to his defense and rebounding.

all of the rookies suck at defense. But Greene has enough potential and offensive firepower to become something.

Greene will take another year to be of real use. He can play spot minutes or better yet, play more on NBDL.

“He’s a talented offensive player, but he’s young,” says head coach Rick Adelman. “Right now he’s very undisciplined with what he does. He’s gotta learn how to be more disciplined, and he’s got to learn how to play hard. I don’t know if he understands what it takes to play hard; especially at the level he’s got to play at. So it’s going to be a work-in-progress with him.

“He can’t just fire it up like he’s been doing here. We’re just learning about him. We’re just watching him play right now, and we’ll deal with it later.”

Greene will be lucky to play more than a handful of minutes next season.

Wow! Strong words from Coach Adelman. I hope the kid is getting the message.

Adelman gave Peja and Turkeyglue minutes right away when they were rookies. Obviously, different teams/situations but all had the same criticisms riding against them.

If that is considered a prediction, then yes.

    Do you disagree?

Or, was that your entire thought? If so, it was lame and boring.

He will get some minutes when/if some injuries occur. Just hope he does like Carl did last year and make the most of it when his opportunity arrives.

Sounds like what they were saying about the other Green who washed out with us.

    BrooksBall,

Are you the one that had the thread last year where you said the Rockets WOULD NOT make the playoffs?

If so, could you please start a couple new ones:

One about how the Rockets won't win a title in the next five years; also one where Green and Brooks will be a bust-tandem; and also how there will be major injuries each and every year that effect the Rockets chances.

We have to get the reverse jinx going for the team and now is a good place to start. You're good at it.

    Thanks.

Why does the Chronicle list him at 6'11"? Isn't Greene actually 6'9"?

Mr. Make Easy Shot Difficult? We're sunk if he's our number 3 scorer. He's about as efficient from 2 feet as Steve Nash is from 22.
