SKYPE! Several of your forum & IRC chat regulars have begun hanging out in Skype voice chat during games. It's actually been very interesting, but distracting. During game 5, we have people from Houston, Dallas, Kentucky & more hanging out. It's a great way to connect with other fans! It's also been very interesting as well. The only downfall is that some people's video feed is faster than others, so you'll hear them reacting to call before it even happens on your screen. If you're interested in voice chatting up sometime, hit the CF Chat before the game & someone will host. A couple of tips: - Headsets are a must. Boom or non-directional mics just have game audio playing to the rest of the attendees - Quiet pets! This is just for fiahblade & his parrots! - Respect (duh) - and finally . . . have fun!
Funny, I always figured something like Teamspeak would be a cool way to watch games or do PBP back in the day (having the audio stream). I haven't been in the chat room in a long long time. Used to be in there EVERY game. My big tv is in the living room though, and I much rather watch the game on that thing.
LAYGO, I can't host the rest of the first round. I'll be back in Houston watching with friends. Game 7, I'll be at Toyato Center. sorry about last game. Not only did I leave my headset at work, I left my AC Adapter, and my battery wasn't going to make it through the game, so I wasn't a reliable host. another tip: --upgrade your Skype to the latest version --as always in ClutchFans chat, don't interrupt game play to ask for help with Skype invites. wait for a break in action.
Duuuuude. Live Cafe it up beforehand? That's pretty awesome. Yup, we had Hayesfan, DaDakota, LAYGO and moestavern19 in there. It was a lot of fun hearing everyone comment on the game.
