I've been working many nights till 4 am or later... are you implying something else?

I was not giving him props for his shooting. I was giving him props for what he does leading the team.

We still can win when he shoots poorly. Our team usually looks like cr*p when he doesn't play.

Whine about his shooting all you want.... 22 wins

That you would post only when convenient? Nah, never.

You mean the streak where he shot the ball well?

You can probably see what times I've been posting... or maybe even visiting.. maybe you already checked? Nah, never... you would never use your access to all that data against posters.

Every game? 3-11 IND, 4-14 NO, 4-13 MEM, 3-18 ATL, 6-19 CHA... won all those.

How did you like the way the Rockets look while Rafer's been out?

Since you seem to think he does nothing other than add bad shooting, we should have improved, eh?

An interesting split from the regular season: we are 29-3 when Rafer shoots at least 42% from the field, and we're 22-20 when he doesn't.

So, I think the title should amended: "We need a Decent Shooting Rafer to be Successful."

How about Rafer 20 pts 5 assists?

How about Rafer 20 pts 5 assists?

This is an appreciation thread. Tmac himself said in the interview last night that Rafer made the difference, not much double team. And we got open shots...

To appreciate more, let's acknowledge some haters and unbelievers in this board:

I think playing bj and rafer at the same time is very effective. Tmac,BJ,Rafer are all oriented type of players and can occasionaly hit the open shot to help out tmac

Playing BJ and Rafer together is effective...........so long as BJax is fresh and Rafer's shot is falling.

Dear Rafer: Force me to change my signature.

Glad to see Rick Adelman go small and punish the slow footed Jazz.......

Korver can be guarded with a smaller player, so can DWill, and Okur, and AK for that matter, only Boozer is a true low post threat.

really sad how most rockets fans are still underrating Rafer after what's he's done for us this entire season. rafer was amazing. his shot and teardrop was on. if he can do that we'll be in every game.

Rafer is effective because when he is playing, Bobby Jackson isn't.

Bobby Jackson is effective because when he is playing, Luther Head isn't.

Our starting PG next year will be effective because when he plays, Rafer won't be.

Rafer Hater is putting it lightly.

    I don't get Rockets fans.

It doesn't take data access to see the trend in your Rafer posts. Whew, good thing your work schedule freed up last night around 1am!

I've never said he does nothing but add bad shooting... I've said the other things he does aren't enough to overcome it. And yes, we look pretty good when Rafer is out there hitting shots (and don't discount Carl Landry finally having an impact). For Rafer's shots, it's decrease volume or increase efficiency. It's really very simple.

You're not helping Cohen's personal grudge against math there durvasa. :)

    (interesting stat by the way)

I think everybody would agree that Rafer has been brilliant at times... but can he do this on a consistant basis and avoid those 4-for-18 nights?

When he's on, he takes off so much pressure off of Tmac. But when he's off...

seriously I dislike his streaky shooting, but does anyone on the court want to win more than Rafer?

Does anyone have a better mind game than Rafer? The guy is a AND1MIXTAPE superstar yet has no fear against the best the NBA has to offer.
