    what about strangers?

My dad and I were driving toward my apartment after the Rockets game and we stopped at a light next to some guy and girl who had just pulled out of a gas station w/ their windows down playing loud music. My dad peeks over and then says to me "that dumb **** is driving and drinking".

So as the light goes green I look back and sure enough both the guy and girl are drinking a bottle of Bud Light each. Completely despicable, and I wanted to do something, but what could I have done? Even if I called the cops and reported a license plate, what was I going to tell them? He didn't go the same way we did as we passed through the light, so it's not like I could have given them directions to try and intercept him.

I suppose they could use his address and send a cop there to meet him once he was home, but if he was out drinking and driving before midnight on a Saturday, I doubt he was going home to call it a night anyway.

In the end, I figured the only thing I could do is call the cops which would probably result in absolutely nothing. Like I said, I didn't know where he was headed (he wasn't on a main road) and it's not like they're going to dedicate a squad car to go stakeout at his house for who knows how long.

So anyway, I just thought I would share my frustration with you guys. I was hoping someone might have a better idea what to do in that situation.

I tail them enough to get the cops on 'em when I see this... well, if I have the time.

    It's a tough call.

My local PD has actually said that they'd prefer us to report them by dialing 911, even if we can't continue to tail them, than to just hope they don't kill someone.

Why can't people just not drink and drive?

Where's the fun in that? Gotta keep the party going.

Normally when I encounter drunk drivers, they're on the freeway and it's easy to tell the cops where to find them.

Your dad shouldn't be using the F word around kids.

I wonder what FFB had to say about this, if he wasn't banned.

Living near a casino, you see this every single day. Report em before they killed a mother and her baby.

My neighbor is a drunky. He's always getting out of his truck with a beer can. Someone call the cops on him for me, thanks. :)
